Learn engineering and programming from the best of the best in Calgary!
We have been running extracurricular STEM education programs at the University of Calgary for 18 years. Check out some of our great recognition:
Do you want to: Have fun? Get experience you can put on your resumé? Make school easier next year?
Then this camp is for you!
We’ll be engaging our campers with a variety of exciting activities to make connections with technology. Campers will build a mini-robot with basic circuit components, solder their very own circuit board, program a battleship game, and film themselves with a drone. By the time the week is done, everyone will have learned important engineering concepts without having to do any math! Have a ton of fun, gain confidence in those critical STEM skills, and maybe even discover some things that you never thought you could do!
Engineering and programming are incredibly fun and are found in almost every career now. This camp is all about breaking down barriers and misunderstandings of technical careers. Even if you don’t have a STEM career in mind, the foundational skills learned in this camp will help you in school and in life. Problem solving, group work, and presentations are all part of this fantastic week. If you don’t really know what engineering is all about, or think that it’s all about math and crazy science, this camp will open some great doors for you.
Our camps feature small groups with extensive one-on-one time with our instructors so students get the best possible experience. Our instructors are 3rd-year engineering students who have spent the year preparing their projects and activities for the camps.
The Dalhousie community association is centrally located in the middle of NW Calgary with easy access including C-Train and a short bus ride. The camp is run from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Early morning care (7:30am – 8:30am) and late day care (4:30pm – 5:30pm) are available.
No experience is required. All students will take home several projects and even a movie filmed by a drone about their camp experience. Activities are appropriate for students aged 11-15.
